The Project Analyst will work within the Global IT team of Investment Banking Dept as a Project Support Analyst for all projects originating from the End User Platform Team. He/she will be responsible for assisting in all project matters assigned by the relevant project manager. E.g. Attending Meetings, Project Planning, Scheduling users for numerous migrations, data collation, issue reporting, manage client expectations, etc.

He/she may be required to adopt flexible working hours e.g. early mornings, late evenings, overnight, or weekends, usually on a roster basis, as the needs of the business demands, and within the policies of the Bank.

The successful candidate will be a hands-on team player who is used to assuming responsibilities in a matrix environment. The successful candidate will have a strong focus on ownership of issues and commitment to resolving them, excellent verbal, organizational and written communication skills, and a proven track record of building successful working relationships with clients and colleagues at all levels of an organization.

The role is positioned to encourage and enable development of the individual into a junior project management role.

Project Support Officer - Equities IT

3 month assignment and renewable in 3 month increments.

The Project Support Officer is part of Equities IT, a global technology team providing electronic services to a large financial institution in NY with customers with offices in London, Tokyo, Hong Kong, New York, Sydney and Moscow.

The Equities (electronic services) initiative is approximately 5 years old and was initially developed regionally and is now looking to be delivered and run globally. The team is in the process of re-aligning existing regional programs into a new global strategy with key technologies developed in-house as being the foundation of the future state.

Because of recent regional to global realignment, a lot of new projects are occurring and an effective Project Support function is required to ensure that the projects remain aligned and closely tied dependencies remain in sync.

There is currently a review of the bank's electronic trading capabilities and this will result in a major strategy for 2007. A team of specialist product managers currently exist but the post holder will supplement and support these streams within a project management framework. They would be the main IT point of contact for high level tracking of Equity IT projects.

Position Description:
Key responsibilities:
. Proactively marketing Equity IT
. Developing frameworks and best practices for Equity IT
. Flagging potential issues and delays before they happen
. Project Tracking
. Ensure the Equity IT Project Management Office effectively leverages and is in line with Global Markets Equity Technology as a whole
. Manage and drive Equity IT MIS Reporting

Additionally the role would cover:
. Understanding all Equity products at a basic level
. Understanding of the software lifecycle
. Requirements gathering of new functionality
. Ensure Equity IT compliance with internal standards
. Influencing skills to ensure that senior managers rapidly buy into new processes

Essential Technical Skills:
. Microsoft Office - Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Visio, Project
. Project Management skills

Background/Work Experience Required:
. Investment Banking Experience or in depth knowledge of equities knowledge required. If the former is not available, the latter will be tested in depth during the interview process

Senior Project Manager

The senior project manager will lead the 3 preferred securities projects simultaneously.
Lead and direct day-to-day efforts and development of the project requirements and manage the associated communication.
Partner with Tech Teams/Middle Office/Front Office to ensure project meets expected results.
Identify and facilitate issue resolutions and escalate where applicable
Ensure cross-business projects and resources are aligned and managed to meet program objectives
Define Key Performance Indicators (KPI's) so that program results are achieved.
Monitor, track and report project milestones and timeline

Understand the business, products and infrastructure
Understand the control environment.
Drive the evolvement of the process and continuous improvement.
Lead and manage projects related to all of the above

Essential Skills Required:
Equity operations and Settlements
International Equity
ADRs - American Depository Receipts
6-10 years business experience at a minimum,
Project management experience
Testing experience
Experience with international securities
Ability to influence indirect reports
Strong analytical skills.
Ability to work under pressure.
Ability to handle multiple projects.
